Temporary Lane Closures on Route 16 Eastbound (Revere Beach Parkway)

Lane closures in place Thursday, July 9, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

EVERETT – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing temporary lane closures on Route 16 eastbound (Revere Beach Parkway) between Route 99 and 2^nd Street. The closures will be in place on Thursday, July 9, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. 

The closures are necessary to allow crews to safely and efficiently perform roadway resurfacing work to address pavement issues resulting from a previous water main break. 

This work is being performed under a District-wide resurfacing contract.  

Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area. 

Drivers who are traveling through the area should reduce speed and use caution. 

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and is subject to change without notice.
