MassDEP has begun posting paid internship opportunities for the summer/early fall session! All listings can be found on MassCareers and are most easily found by narrowing the search by “Organization” to the Department of Environmental Protection. Please note that priority application review will be given to applicants who submit their materials within the first 14 days.

The internships are available for programs in MassDEP’s Boston headquarters as well as in all four regional offices (Worcester, Wilmington, Lakeville, and Springfield). The roles cover a variety of programming and policy areas, including:

The positions are all important in helping ensure environmental protection across the Commonwealth and I would note that they also include roles for those with experience in graphic design and accounting/finance, among other skillsets.
