The Healey-Driscoll Administration, the Executive Office of Economic Development (EOED), and the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (HLC) are thrilled to announce the launch of the FY26 application for the Community One Stop for Growth, an application portal overseen by EOED that provides a streamlined process for municipalities and organizations to apply for 12 state economic development grant programs.
One Stop grant programs are administered by EOED, HLC, and MassDevelopment. Programs in the One Stop offer direct funding and support to housing and economic development projects related to community activation and placemaking, planning and zoning, site preparation, building construction, and infrastructure.
Municipalities and organizations wishing to apply for funding through the One Stop may begin by participating in an optional Expression of Interest process beginning today through March 26. During this time, applicants may receive guidance on priority projects from EOED staff before submitting a full application. Applicants may begin working on their applications now in the application portal; EOED will accept full application submissions from May 5 through June 4, with awards announced in the fall. For more information and to learn how to apply, please visit www.mass.gov/onestop.
Important Updates in the FY26 Round
Two new programs will be offered:
- MA Vacant Storefront Program has moved to the One Stop to increase the program’s exposure and adoption across the state.
- TDI Equity Investment Program will be offered via the One Stop. This MassDevelopment program funds capital improvements that activate ground-floor and commercial spaces that are critical to the economic and social vitality of TDI Districts.
Urban Agenda Grant Program will no longer be administered through the One Stop:
- The program has a new source of funding – the Workforce Investment Trust Fund – which will allow a bit more flexibility, including an increase to the maximum grant amount and a longer grant period for awarded projects.
After evaluating program impact, MassDevelopment has paused the Collaborative Workspace Program:
- Collaborative workspace operators now require support with operating costs, rather than the capital improvements that the program can provide, and future investment from the program is unlikely to lead to desired key performance indicators.
