On July 13^th and 14^th, DCR is hosting “Let’s Camp in Massachusetts” Family Camping Weekend at Myles Standish State Forest in Carver to help families learn about the fun of camping.

DCR’s “Let’s Camp in Massachusetts” Family Camping Weekend

DCR is excited to partner with Bronco Wild Funds to offer a free camping weekend for first-time family campers at Myles Standish State Forest on July 13 and 14. Families will be supported by DCR staff in their camping adventure with assistance setting up their site, learning how to start, maintain, and extinguish a safe campfire, and will experience fishing, hiking, and nature programs over the course of the weekend. In the evening, we will gather around an evening campfire, listening to engaging stories and roasting delicious s’mores. If needed, families can borrow tents and camp stoves provided by the Bronco Wild Funds grant. This special event helps introduce families to camping at a DCR campground and creates life-long family memories.
