Mystic Valley Elder Services (MVES) received a donation this month that knocked our socks off: thousands of pairs of socks for people in need. The generous contribution is from Bombas, a popular company that has donated millions of socks and other essential clothing items.
MVES received 5,000 pairs of high-quality socks this year from Bombas, which has partnered with us since 2019. The donation arrives just in time for the colder weather. A portion will be distributed through our Emergency Closet.
We also partner with local groups to ensure the socks reach people who need them throughout our service area. This year, we shared the donation with three wonderful community organizations: the Malden Warming Center, Bread of Life and MelroseWakefield Healthcare’s Mobile Food Market.
