The Massachusetts Caucus of Women Legislators is seeking applicants for appointment to the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women (MCSW).
MCSW is an independent state agency (established in 1998) charged with reviewing the status of women and girls in Massachusetts and offering policy recommendations to improve equality and access to opportunity. The Women’s Caucus appoints six of the Commission’s 19 volunteer commissioners to three-year, staggered terms.
We seek a diverse pool of candidates committed to active service—attending meetings and hearings, serving on committees, and advising on policy. We welcome candidates who reflect the Commonwealth’s diversity across race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, geography, socioeconomic background, and lived experience, and who have demonstrated experience or a strong interest in advancing the status of women and girls.
